Tier Quests, Recipe Quests, Continental Styles Quests

They are all basically the same thing after level 11. These are the quests that you must complete in order to learn recipes each tier for each continent. You will not need to do the novice continental style quest for your home continent.

PLEASE NOTE: the amateur (level 11) quest is NOT the same thing as the specialization quest. These both take place at level 11, but they are two separate things. Many people assume that because they chose their specialization they are now amateur crafters and should have new recipes, only to be sadly disappointed, not to mention confused.

The Tier quests take place at level 11, 21, 31 and so on, and allow you to learn more recipes from your trainers. Along with the completion of the quest, you gain a new title. From Novice, you go to Amateur, Apprentice, and upward through the ranks until you reach the top of your profession. Expect your crafting profession to change as you increase in level through each ranks, with the process slowly changing and becoming even more complex. For the tier quests you need to do them for each continent to gain recipes on those continents.

Also note: when you are asked to craft an item for these quests, these are not work orders. You must supply your own materials, so be prepared!

Along with unlocking recipes, completing each tier quest gives you 100 continental artisan faction (50 for foreign lands), as well as decent amount of crafting experience.

Note: With the new displaying of all recipes, you will end up seeing recipes that are level 18, 19, 20, etc that require the Apprentice Quest which you can't do till level 21. The reason is, these are not intended to be given to you till level 21, they display the lower levels so that when you do get them at level 21, they are much easier to do than if they would have been marked as level 21 recipes. I know its confusing but they were not intended to be given till you are Apprentice level (and same with later ones).

Style Quests (Novice):

You do not have to do the one for your home continent.

You do not have to be level 11. You can do these prior to hitting 11 and choosing a specialization. You will get less than the 5000 xp but you can do them prior to 11. I did them at 9 on my one crafter. This can be beneficial for some, I did the Qalia version while running the "Arming Hathor Zhi", "Dune Eagle Trading Company" and "Best Artisan Ever" quest since those 3 level 8 quests take you to the same cities as the Qalian Novice Quest.

WARNING: Do NOT get quests for both continents you need at the same time. The recipe used is the same apparently, and if you complete one continent while having both quests, the recipe is removed and you can not finish the other continent quest. You'd have to abandon and restart. You need to either craft all items before turning one in, or do each quest one at a time.

Qalia

Start NPC: Sajin Callash
Location: Ahgram, -41001, -1285, 2437, second floor
Faction Required: 0 to Start Quest, 100 Qalian Artisans to obtain recipes. You gain 50 for doing the quest.
Non-KoS Required: Aghram, Hathor Zhi, City of Khal, City of Mekalia
Materials Required: 6 Weakened Timber

Speak with Shaliz Talhani in Khal, Serin Talah in Hathor Zhi, and Silaskun in Mekalia, and craft 3 Wooden Staffs

Location: Neamsog Bunker (Next to the Qa Riverbank Riftway Stone)
Prerequisites: Non-KoS to Mekalia
Materials Required: 2 Slate Slabs, 2 Barbed Timber

Details:
Craft the 2 Qalian Stone Signets and 2 Qalian Shortbows you are asked to make, and return them to Odri for the amateur title. There are no utility vendors here, so bring enough of your own.

Kojan

Location: Tawar Galan, crafting area

Location: In a small tower next to the road from Three Rivers to Themnwar's Shield
Prerequisites: Non-KoS to Bordinar's Cleft
Materials Required: 2 Barbed Timber, 4 Slate Slabs

Details:
Craft 2x Clubs (1x timber per) AND 2x Stone Hammers (2x slabs per)
There is no refining station here. The closest is way up in Bordinar's Cleft. No Utility Vendors.

You will need 200 Faction for that continent to start the quest, and 300 Faction to obtain recipes.

* Thestran - North of Tursh, follow road till split in road. Sign will say "Danger", go that way. There are currently no mobs. You'll continue along a road till you come to guard tower on a hillside over looking the ocean, cut back and go down to the shore. You'll find a small dock with the NPC there. There is a ship building station and an assembly table. There are no regular utilities sold here or regular stations. You'll have to run back up to Tursh to make the Planks and Spokes.
* Kojan – Tora Briarborn, Tawar Galan at the far east end of the beach out on a platform.
* Qalian – Khal, Telelyan Ahkdem, on east side of boat ramp.

Details:

* Qalia - You will be inspired by a small altar (1m high). The best way to find it is to head to Hathor Zhi valley, past the newbie Dark Elf area, and from this point, head for Pankor Zhi following the road. Before entering Pankor Zhi (huge monumental building), you'll find on your left a burned down tent on ground level. An altar is in its vincinity, which you can study from.
* Kojan - You will be inspired by another altar, around the Garrison's main building on ground level. Coords : 58 000; -58,700 ; 1800
* Thestra - You will be inspired by a "small" boat (3m long) just east of the western most building (bank building) in Konarthi Point.

Starting NPC:

* Thestran - Southwatch, Harin Stonecarver (just outside of town towards New Targonor by the pile of bricks. Coordinates: -34827, 40324.) Quest sends you to Old Targonor - you will need undead invisibility and friends to clear especially if you're a low adventure levle.
* Kojan – Southwatch, it will involve a travel to Falderhol. The bricks are in a ruins just to the northeast of the island in Graystone chunk. Easiest way to get the cornerstone is to fly in and land on the southeast side of the ruined church since there is no mobs there. Go inside the main area of the church and pull the mob at the front doorway inside to kill. Then unless your a mid 30s char, you should be able to study the cornerstone on the right side of the door as you're looking out the front from inside.
* Qalian – Afrit
